Welcome back friends! I hope you love the new site. It has been a work in progress over the past year as I got myself together in order to launch my new business, Lauren Roy Health. Let me tell you a little about the history of how I got here.
Some of you may have been following with me for years, and if that’s you, thank you! I truly can’t tell you how much I’ve valued your support with Say What You Need to Say. The blog went through many, many turns, improvements, and a few setbacks over the eight years of its existence. Yet throughout all of the changes, the core of the blog had always been a Healthy Living space where I shared recipes, workouts and my overall life experiences. I’ve always strived to be transparent and upfront and took you through my triumphs and struggles.
Seven years ago, I got into the fitness biz by obtaining my group fitness certification and started teaching group fitness classes. From there, I continued to expand my knowledge and development in the industry through experience and self education. I went on to get my personal training certification last year and decided to take my training to a new level. I knew I wanted to work with people one-on-one but wasn’t sure if it was in the gym setting or something different. After a lot of thought and prayer, I decided that training clients one-on-one in the gym wasn’t where my heart was leading me. I still LOVE teaching group fitness and small group classes, but I wanted to go deeper and tap into something beyond what a 30 minute gym session would allow me to provide. I wanted to work closely with others in order to truly help them in a way they have probably not been helped before. In order to do that, I knew I needed to design my own program. So that is how Lauren Roy Health was born.
I’m no where near being done in my own personal development. While I continue to learn, grow and educate myself daily, I’m striving to be better, to know more, and to live out my purpose of helping others achieve health freedom.
I can’t tell you how excited I am to start. It’s terrifying but so satisfying in the same way. I promise I will continue to blog and stay connected to you all in every way I can but my direction may once again take a new focus towards sharing my knowledge and experience towards nutrition and fitness. BUT I certainly won’t stop there. I love sharing my everyday chaos of life with two little ones, or how we are navigating life with a child with autism, or just designing some delicious recipes for you all.
So welcome, welcome back and thank you! It’s going to be a great journey and I’m truly grateful for your support in every way.
